Pupienus, 238. Denarius (Silver, 21 mm, 2.95 g, 5 h), Rome, circa April-June 238. IMP C M CLOD PVPIENVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Pupienus to right, seen from behind. Rev. PAX PVBLICA Pax seated left on throne, holding olive branch in her right hand and scepter in her left. BMC 46. Cohen 22. RIC 4. Beautifully toned. Struck from a slightly worn reverse die, otherwise, good fine.
